FOCUSED DESIGN SUPPORT

Choose the work
your project needs.

Extra design capacity for an existing idea, a product improvement or a useful next step.

01

Clarify the project

Turn your idea, customer feedback and constraints into a short brief with agreed requirements and next steps.

02

Review an existing design

Get practical notes on supplied sketches, CAD or a sample, with suggested improvements and priorities. Design changes are scoped separately.

03

Explore design options

Receive concept sketches and a refined direction to review with your team. The quote sets the number of concepts and feedback rounds.

04

Create or revise CAD

Develop the agreed design into a 3D model, or update an existing one. Receive the source files and export formats listed in your quote.

05

Prepare and evaluate prototypes

Use a prototype to answer agreed questions about fit, function or usability. Build files, assembly, physical prototypes and evaluation findings are included only where scoped.

06

Hand off the design

Receive an organized set of agreed files, versions and notes for your team or supplier to review. Drawings and supplier support can be scoped separately.

A few questions.

Is this a fit for my business?

Saltflat is a good fit for a small business with an existing product idea, improvement or accessory to develop, but limited design capacity. Product brands, independent manufacturers and creators building useful physical products can all fit. We review the project, budget and timing together before agreeing to the work.

What will I receive?

Your quote lists the exact deliverables. These may include a written brief, concept sketches, CAD files, prototype work, evaluation notes or a design handoff. You only pay for the agreed scope.

Can you make the prototype?

Sometimes. The approach depends on the material, process and available tools. Saltflat may prepare files, build and assemble within its capabilities, or coordinate a scoped outside build. We agree on the prototype’s purpose, quantities and outside costs before that work starts.

What does a project cost?

Fees depend on the scope. After reviewing your idea and available files or samples, we provide a written quote with deliverables, price, timing and included revision rounds. Materials and outside fabrication are identified separately where relevant.

Do you handle production or specialist approval?

Saltflat provides the agreed design work and files for your team or manufacturing partner to review. Production manufacturing and fulfillment stay with your chosen partners. Advanced engineering analysis, safety-critical design, certification and compliance approval are outside the core service and need qualified specialists.
